Demand for data scientists is projected to outweigh supply in a big way, and those looking to expand their data teams will need to think outside the box to recruit top talent, and foster internal innovation in a way that allows one data scientist to do the work of many.  In Q2 of 2018, WBR Insights surveyed 100 Chief Data Officers from across the globe to find out more about the challenges facing data leaders and the innovative solutions being brought to the table. The results were compiled and anonymised by WBR Insights and are presented here with analysis and commentary by the Data Leaders Summit community.

With GDPR’s implementation less than a year away, the biggest challenge for businesses currently is to find new ways to remain compliant in managing their data, whilst also staying competitive by gaining actionable insight from their data. With these challenges at the forefront of Data scientist minds, this report seeks to find the issues underpinning successful adaptation of new technologies to serve their companies in the best way possible and allow for the creation of a scalable data-driven culture within their business.

After a pause in blogging, for a much-needed holiday, I’ve returned with a debrief from day one of Data Insight Leaders Summit 2017.

This is continuing my report from Data Insight Leaders 2017 Day Two. That is, day two of a useful Summit (that I’m chairing), held in Barcelona. In this post I summarise this final day of an enjoyable event.

Attending the 2016 Data Insight Leaders Summit in Barcelona proved to be a very wise decision. Unlike so many buzzword-focussed events, this one actually did attract speakers & delegates who were data insight leaders.
